The name of “vetiver” is derived from the South Indian Tamil Language word “vettiver”. Vetiver Oil aids to connect to earth’s energies. It helps to reduce heat, stress, anxiety and depression, thus helping to concentrate the mind. It is effective for balancing base(Mooladhara) and heart(Anahata) chakras. Like Sandalwood and Patchouli, Vetiver oil improves with age.

How to Use Vetiver Essential Oil
- Skin Care : It is reputed to regulate hormonal secretions of estrogen and progesterone thus useful for PMS. Add 2~3 drops of vetiver oil into carrier oil and apply on skin or add 3~4 drops of vetiver oil to tepid bath water in tub for a cool, grounding effect.
- Healing your Roots : Recommend for physical, mental and emotional healing. Promotes deep sleep. For this, add 5 drops vetiver with 20 drops lavender and apply diluted oil to skin or soles of the feet.
- In the Diffuser & Burner : Since it is very sticky oil, mix it with some thinner oils for diffuse purpose. It will simply create a very earthy and spiritual atmosphere.
- Creating Perfume : Vetiver oil is considered to be the premier perfume fixative. It is said to be a component in about 90% of all the perfumes. Like Sandalwood and Patchouli, vetiver oil improves with age.
